SCHEDULED PARTICIPATION COURSES

 

WHAT IS A SCHEDULED PARTICIPATION COURSE?
 
  • The course contains activities that must be completed satisfactorily in order to satisfy the course requirements.
  • Course lessons are presented sequentially, and are scheduled to begin and end on a specific date and time.
  • The student must be available to complete course work and to participate in group activities according to the schedule set out in the course syllabus and lesson availability schedule.  (Follow the above link for your course to find links to the syllabus and lesson availability.)

 

WHAT IS A SELF PACED COURSE?
 
  • The course contains activities that must be completed satisfactorily in order to satisfy the course requirements.
  • The course is scheduled in specific increments, with specific beginning and ending dates.  Course lessons are presented sequentially.
  • The student can work through the course lessons at his/her own pace, and during the hours that are most convenient.  Provided all course requirements are completed within the allotted time frame, the student may use the entire time as scheduled if needed, or the coursework can be completed more quickly.

 

WHAT IS A SELF STUDY COURSE?
 
  • The course contains activities and resources that the student may study as he/she wishes before taking the final exam.  There is no requirement to complete any of the course materials prior to testing.
  • The course has no scheduled beginning or ending dates.  The student can enroll and begin studying at any time.
  • There is no minimum required study time.  The student is free to request his/her testing credentials at any time after registering for the course.
